Frequency and rate data

Frequency and rate data collection for behavior targets

Tap +1 each time a behavior happens. The session’s count is saved with the visit and graphed, and each tap is time-stamped so you can see when behaviors happen, not only how often.

From one tap to a graph and a heat map

The count for each session is graphed, and the time of every tap builds the behavior-by-day-and-hour heat map. These are samples with made-up data.

A heat map of when a behavior occurs, built from the occurrences recorded in sessions.

Counting that keeps up with the behavior

Made for the moment when your hands are busy.

One tap per occurrence

Tap +1 each time the behavior happens. Choose frequency or rate when you set up the target.

Every tap is time-stamped

The time of each tap is kept, so the occurrences can be mapped by day and hour later.

Zero is a real answer

A behavior that did not happen is recorded as zero, and the session note says that no incidents were observed instead of leaving a gap.

A graph per behavior

The count for each session is plotted with baseline and intervention phases, the baseline value and the goals for the target.

Home counts beside session counts

Ask a caregiver to count the behavior at home, and see their number on the same graph.

Written into the note

The note’s summary states the number of incidents for each behavior, so the RBT does not write it again.

How frequency collection works

  1. 1

    Set up the target

Add a behavior-reduction target and choose frequency or rate, with a baseline and goals.

  2. 2

    Tap during the session

Tap +1 for each occurrence. Each tap is stored with its time.

  3. 3

See the count and the pattern

The graph shows the session counts, and the Analysis tab shows when the behavior happens.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between frequency and rate?

Frequency is a count of occurrences. Rate relates the count to the time observed. Choose whichever fits each behavior when you create the target, and the session’s count is what is saved and graphed.

Does Nūr Evoke keep the time of each occurrence?

Yes. Each +1 tap is time-stamped, and the Analysis tab uses those times for the day-and-hour heat map.

Can I record that a behavior did not occur?

Yes. A zero count is recorded as zero, and the session note states that no incidents were observed.

Can a caregiver count the behavior at home?

Yes. Send a Caregiver Data request, and the caregiver’s count appears on the same graph.
